Inner Demons - Personal Project
Inner Demons is a personal project made to represent and characterize my deepest feelings, those that drive my mind and appear as negative thoughts occasionally.
These past three years were the most challenging ones in my life in terms of mental and physical health. Years of heavy decisions, personal growth, and changes in many aspects of my life, from habits to the way I think and react.
During this time I understood we are all driven by many feelings especially negative ones, very present in each moment of the day. Each one is experienced differently by everyone.
In some moments they can become very obvious and cause some physical sensations, in other moments they can be very subtle. But always present in our minds. If we are not aware of the presence we react automatically in a bad way causing pain and suffering.
They exist, we cannot erase them they must fulfill their purpose, make us human beings. But in the end, we have the ability to choose and not let them rule our lives.
In honor of this little revelation, I wanted to represent them in the best way I can, through my art. Each character is expressed with all their attributes through design, color, outfit, and expression.

PRIDE
The emperor, The Ego.
Jealousy, Inflated, vain, self-centered,
snobbish, prejudiced, bigoted, unforgiving and judgmental.
The emotion of false Self, driven by arrogance, selfishness, and ignorance.
DESIRE.
Greed, obsession,
hunger, envy, jealousy, fixation, over-ambition, selfishness, lust, possessiveness, control,
glamorization, insatiability.
A beautiful vampire that says to our ears:
“Never satisfied.” “Never enough.” “Must have.”
Anger
Revenge, indignation, fury, hatred,
wrath, sarcasm, impatience,
frustration, negativity, violence, meanness and stubbornness.
A destructive emotion like a storm, maybe the only one that can manifest in physical reality, burns us from the inside.
Fear
Worries, paranoia, uneasiness, blocked, tension, shy,
speechless, superstitious, threatened, insecure,
suspicious, paralyzed, anxious.
Fears created by thoughts of fictional scenarios, poisoning our minds.
Guilt
Grief, wrongness, pain, regrets, shame, and self-punishment.
The emotion that remind us of our past mistakes, like a heavy weight on our shoulders wherever we go, it consumes our energy.
Truth
Beliefs, truth, dogma, moral compass, ethics, faith, and hope.
Sometimes it makes us stubborn and rigid, we are prisoners of the so-called truth “having the only true way”.
